Neighborhood Watch Group Members Responsibilities

Neighborhood Watch is not just the responsibility of the coordinator for the area, it is the responsibility of all neighbors.
Each participating member of a Neighborhood Watch Group should:
  • Be alert to suspicious activities in the neighborhood
  • Notify the Coordinator or Block Captain if your contact information changes
  • Learn neighbors' names and be able to identify their vehicles and other vehicles usually in your neighborhood.
  • Keep an up to date block map, roster, and other important group information in an accessible and secure location.
  • Implement security measures suggested by your Crime Prevention Officer or Coordinator.
  • Notify police and Coordinators of any suspicious activity.
  • DO NOT TAKE ANY PERSONAL RISKS! It is important for the officers to have good information but not at any risk to yourself.
  • Attend Neighborhood Watch Meetings
