Nobody knows better what and who belong in your neighborhood better than you and your neighbors. If something or someone looks suspicious to you and causes you concern you should not hesitate to call the Sheriff's Department and ask for a deputy to be dispatched to your area to check on the suspicious subject.
Suspicious Person:
Try to get the best description of the person you can. Start at the top and work your way down: Is the person wearing a hat?
What color and style is the hair?
What color skin?
Does the person have any facial hair or noticeable piercings?
What color of shirt is the person wearing? Are there any logos or distinguishable designs?
What kind/color of pants and shoes?
Did you notice any weapons?
Was there anything that really stood out about the person?
What exactly was the person doing, where were they doing it and why is it suspicious to you?
Suspicious Vehicle:
A license plate is going to be the absolute best information you can provide when calling in a suspicious vehilcle however getting that information is not always possible. Instead of or in addition to a licence plate a few other items are helpful:
Make/model and color of the car.
Any distinguishing details - different colored parts, bumper stickers, damage, special paint schemes
Exact location of vehicle
What was the vehicle doing, why is it suspicious to you?
How many people in the vehicle?
Descriptions of the people in vehicle.
If vehicle is moving, direction of movement.
Time after time people tell us that they didn't want to call because they didn't want to waste a Deputies time and they know the Deputies have other more important things to handle. You know your neighborhood the best and if something doesn't belong there, we want to know about it.
